Freedom to choose
Upholstery is about more than selecting a colour or fabric. Texture, touch and material can completely change the character of a piece of furniture.
At Quinze & Milan, we keep that choice open. We can propose suitable upholstery options based on your project, or work with a material selected by you, your architect or interior designer.
Whether for a single piece, a complete collection or a bespoke installation, the material becomes part of the design.

From soft and tactile fabrics to materials developed for intensive contract use. We help select textiles according to the desired look, feel, application and project requirements.
Leather
Natural leather brings its own character, touch and ageing qualities to furniture. Different colours, grains and qualities can be considered according to the design and application.
Vinyl & coated materials
Vinyl and other coated materials offer another range of textures, colours and performance characteristics. Depending on the selected material, they can be an interesting alternative for demanding interior applications.

Our upholstery possibilities are not limited to one product range.
A Quinze & Milan collection piece can be adapted through the choice of upholstery, while bespoke furniture gives even more freedom to combine form, dimensions, colour and material.
This allows architects and designers to work with the same approach across individual furniture pieces and larger project-specific installations.
Choosing the right material
A beautiful material still needs to work for the project.
We can help assess upholstery options according to the intended use, visual character, tactility, maintenance requirements and any relevant project specifications.
The shape and construction of the furniture also matter. Not every material behaves in the same way on every form, which is why customer-specified materials are reviewed before production.
Performance follows the material
The technical performance of upholstered furniture depends on the material selected and the specific application.
Properties such as abrasion resistance, fire performance, colour fastness, cleanability and other technical characteristics therefore need to be evaluated using the specifications and certification of the selected upholstery material.
